Food & Drink Awards Now Open for Entries!
The team at Love Local Trust Local could not be more excited to announce that the 2021 Love Local Trust Local Food & Drink Awards are now live and open for entries!
Want to shout about your local produce?! We are inviting Dorset-based farmers, growers, fisherman, and food or drink producers to take a moment to truly celebrate your efforts and get your hard work noticed in a community who truly appreciate what you do!
Created by farmers and producers, for farmers and producers, what sets our awards apart is that they are designed to celebrate the work that goes into our local food production here in sunny Dorset!

Now in our second year, the awards feature 12 categories, with a total of 18 awards for the winning! Categories include dairy, fruit and vegetables, meat, and many more. Several of our food and drink categories feature additional classes, which gives us a truly fair chance to judge our entrants, whilst providing more chances for entrants to win. This means in 2021 we will be celebrating even more of our great Dorset food and drink producers!
Our conservation and sustainability, and innovation and diversification categories, are split into two classes each; companies of 30 employees and under, and a separate class for companies with more than 30 employees. We want to truly embrace companies large and small who are going the extra mile to champion these hot topics, seeking new ways to diversify, innovate and make farming and food production more sustainable.
Our Rising Star award is the chance to recognise younger contributors to our food and drink community. Here we focus on businesses founded by the under 30’s, business under 2 years old, and/or those taking strides to really do things differently for the betterment of the environment and the community.
Can I Take Part?
All entrants must be based here in Dorset and must source all ingredients within a 30-mile radius. We want to hear about what really sets you apart in your food or drink production, what values your business operates by that ensures you stand out, and overall, what your business truly means to you and your community.
Our awards are free to enter! We want to be sure that all Dorset-based producers have a fair chance to get involved, which we feel truly adds to the integrity and accessibility of the awards. To find out how to enter, click here.
Join our Judging Team!
Our valued key sponsors truly make these awards happen, so we are once again so grateful to these outstanding local businesses for getting involved and flying the flag for local food and drink producers. Without these fantastic ambassadors the awards simply would not be possible.
Not only do our sponsors make the best ambassadors, but they also make up our fabulous judging panel. Our sponsors work in teams to judge the categories; they will learn about the entrants in the category they are responsible for judging, and will also visit the business in the flesh to see their practices firsthand.
Best of all, our judging team will be sampling some of Dorset’s finest fare and deciding the winners of 2021!
